Distribution Block

When it comes to more power for your car’s audio sound system, you have to contemplate the safety issues involved with that extra power. You can add those extra amps to your system but you’ll need something to ground it and absorb the excess heat and resistance to avoid problems. With an automotive power distribution block, you can consolidate that power that comes from the extra components you install.

Adding more speakers to your audio system means a lot more wires going every which way. But what if you could consolidate them with a speaker distribution block? Now you don’t lose sound quality as the power is distributed to those extra speakers.

If you have battery backups for your systems, there is no need for more than one. With a battery distribution pack, all your car’s audio components will still run, even with the engine turned off! Who says you can’t jam without running your car?

With power distribution blocks, you are looking at a variety of different features, looks and styles. Some have just one single input for the power distribution block. With the distribution block car audio device with the single input, you could add up to four amplifiers with ease.

Then you have the fuse distribution block which is individually fused from the main fuse that protects your main power wire. You might find the fuse type in a variety of brands like Marathon power distribution blocks. These Marathon distribution blocks also come in a ground and power distribution block.

For the most part, you can install a distribution block on your own. As long as you follow any schematics or instructions included, there is little chance of you shocking the heck out of yourself. All kidding aside, there are plenty of power distribution block applications and incorporating extra car audio components are just one facet.

As with the multiple application of the distribution block, there are also a variety of brands to choose from. For instance, there is the Monster cable distribution block. It sounds powerful doesn’t it? You might find a 1200 amp distribution block amongst the different Gold power distribution block selections. And if you have a Duracomm power distribution block, installation is a snap.

All in all, when it comes to adding any type of components to your car that has to be wired for power, consider a distribution block. It is the perfect backup to your fuses. Plus, it is great for your peace of mind too.
